Set in the rural town of Brightburn, Kansas, in 2006 a strange spaceship falls from the sky. Inside, a baby boy. A couple named Tori and Kyle Breyer discover the ship and adopt the boy as their own naming him Brandon. 12 years later, Brandon is on the verge of puberty causing the spaceship to awaken sending out a strange message in an alien language. This causes Brandon’s personality to change drastically, while also granting him superhuman strength and a significant degree of invulnerability. What follows isn’t your typical superhero story. In this story there is not Pa Kent or Uncle Ben anywhere in sight.
